i'm an art history major, and i love this. obviously, it's beautiful. and obviously, the story that it illustrates is absolutely fascinating. but from a modern, social perspective, i love the bodies. i love the size of these women, and i love their cellulite. in fact, i'm crazy about the cellulite. it's absolutely beautiful.not to mention, this is one of the few artists that can actually paint a fucking horse (the heads are a little small, but i'll take it). thank you, rubens, for doin' some goddamn work.
